MachineColson Baker(born on April 22, 1990), known professionally as Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor. His genre duality in hip-hop and alternative rock is what made him famous. He released four mixtapes between 2007 and 2010, before signing with Bad Boy Records. In 2012, he released Lace Up the first studio album. It peaked at number four on the US Billboard 200. It included his most popular single "Wild Boy" that was performed by Waka Flame. General Admission (2015) and Bloom 2017 were his second and third albums. The latter was the one that featured the smash hit track "Bad Things" and was sung by Camila Cabello and peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. His fourth album, Hotel Diablo, was rap rock. In 2020 Machine Gun Kelly's fifth album, Tickets to My Downfall (2020), was released. It marked a departure from hip-hop, and a shift into pop punk. The single "My Ex's best friend" reached the top spot on the Billboard 200. It was the first album by a rock artist to achieve the top spot. The album's sequel Mainstream Sellout (1922) was an enormous commercial success.
