Tom Hanks-2-1024x767Thomas Jeffrey Hanks was born on the 9th of July 1956. He is an American actor as well as a filmmaker and director. He is famous for his comedic and dramatic role. He is an American iconic cultural figure. Thomas Jeffrey Hanks was a Concord, California native to Janet Marylyn Hanks, a hospital worker, and Amos Mefford Hanks an itinerant cook. His mother's clan, known as "Fraga" was completely Portuguese and his father was of mostly English descent. Tom grew up in a family he calls "fractured". He didn't have any acting experience prior to college. This was what helped him get started in his career. He auditioned downtown for a play in the community theater. Director invited him to Cleveland and that's how his acting career started.
