Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Taylor is an American actress and producer well-known for her performances in the shows she played in Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist as well as the TV series The Mentalist. She has an BA in African-American Studies from Brown University as well as an MFA in Acting from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actress as well as a producer. She has a long-standing involvement in films theater and television. She started her career acting in the theatre but then proceeded to play in a variety of television series, including mainstream and independent films. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's acclaimed series The Book of Negroes. In both these roles she won critical acclaim as well as a variety of nominations and awards including the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. She made her professional acting debut in the role of Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. The credits on stage are Come and Gone Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production of Joe Turner. Her film work she's most popular for performances such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. She is also well-known for her character on ABC's crime show High Incident.
